Sharp Practice 2 in Glasgow?
« on: April 09, 2016, 12:16:10 PM »
Having read up and now been swept up in the hype I was wondering if any groups in Glasgow are dong anyhing for the release of Sharp Practice 2?

I'd love to find a group and start collecting a force/learning how to play(it's been a while since I gamed), does that interest anyone?

Also what armies do the locals play? I'd want to collect something I can use for games.

GDWS have a hard core of Sharp Practitioners who played the original version, and are waiting for the second. French, British, Brunswick, Russian atm.

We are also discussing using it for ACW, Crimean, Cape Wars and American Rebellion.

See our website, and come along for a natter.
I didn't look at the Ark, honest...

I'd imagine that SESWC in Edinburgh might(?). They helped a lot in the play testing.

Yes we are. French Indian Wars in 15mm with Peninsula and Indian Mutiny in 28mm. But it's a fair trek from the Weeg.

Just got the rules, not played SP before.
Is there a quick ref sheet anywhere?

Problem is the local guys I know of from uni just want to play warhammer or rpgs, I can't afford GW (I can but I like eating too) and the rpgs are pen and paper which just isn't my bag.

Also a good place to check out most of the local clubs would be Carronade at Falkirk this Saturday

Might give them a wee look, unfortunately going home means I will be in Glasgow too late for Carronade :'[ I'm thinking of plumping for Perry's Napoleonic Egypt range.

Glasgow District which meet every 2nd Sunday is a good bet. They meet in the South Side of Glasgow near Crossmyloof.

I know a few of the guys at G3 have an interest in the game as well. They meet in the West End near Cowcaddens every Tuesday.
