Selestino - A Fistful of Lead Reloaded AAR
« on: April 23, 2016, 09:50:25 PM »
The Pinkerton Detective Agency have been called upon to locate and retrieve the gold shipment, which has mysteriously found its way to the small Village of Selestino. Also interested in the missing gold shipment are a group of banditos who had tried to rob the stagecoach carrying the gold, but managed to kill the guard and mortally wound the driver before it made its get way. The stagecoach and shipment stand in the town square; the locals too afraid to approach it due to the ferrous guard dog, guarding the gold.

The two groups are poised to enter the village and retrieve the gold ...

Diamond Joe and his Pinkertons split up and approach from two directions hoping to outflank Christiano and his banditos. Meanwhile, the banditos approach from the opposite direction and several of them clamber onto the roof of a nearby building, hoping to cut down Diamond Joe's men.

With the local citizens nervous and starting run from the shooting Diamond Joe subdues the guard dog and grabs the gold shipment.

After several ineffective rifle shots from the bandito on the roof top, Diamond Joe makes it out of town as duces are drawn and a hail of gunfire from both sides ends the game.

With four men a side and only 6 turns to get in, grab the shipment and get off the board this turned into a fast paced game with plenty of action, especially with local citizens running in different direction and blocking lines of site. Looking forward to running the scenario at the local Model Show at Stow-on-the-Wold in Gloucestershire on 22 May 2016.

Thanks guys for the kind comments.

The old Snapdragon resin scenery is great for this sort of setup and it's a real shame it's not available any longer.

Thanks Guys,

We really enjoy the game and next time it will be enhanced with the recently arrived kickstarter goodies.

And here's a couple more photos of everyday life around Selestino ...

Nice set-up, sir.
 :-*

Looks like an idyllic little get away spot for some peace and quiet.
Until the gold rolls into town, of course!

Selestino looks great, love the details. Who makes the dozing peasant by the beer barrels?

Thanks Guys,

Selestino looks great, love the details. Who makes the dozing peasant by the beer barrels?

He's part of the Wargames Foundry OW16/6 set here -http://www.wargamesfoundry.com/our-ranges/old-west/old-west-mexican-collection-bcow016/

I bought mine years ago when Foundry used to do deals on new figures and I have only just managed to paint the last of the Peons ....
