I was trying to make some assault marines for the Lead Legion but I abandoned that and simply turned these guys into my Chaos Assault Marines.  The Lead Legion will get something else at some point.  Read about my anger and woes on the blog...

I did up a Terminator version of my currently nameless Chaos Lord (still vastly prefer the power armour and jump pack...but, ya know..options?).  I had to kit-bash a powerglove mounted stormbolted when I realized I didn't have a way of producing a left-handed Storm Bolter (and far be it from me to change his hands!).



And then I took a crack at creating some weird agent alternate Chaos Obliterators. Not very enthused with the end result, but they'll serve until I decide to eBay them and re-do them eventually.  I don't know why I went with skulls for faces...or why I painted them weird.  Just didn't end up looking the way I had in my mind.



I'm closing in on being done with the Chaos force...been working on some Eldar behind the scenes as well.  A few more vehicles, maybe one more squad, but unknown.

And I quite like them as they are too - although the Chaos Lord (in his daily and Sunday suits) is even more brilliant

I'll run them for a bit, but I think if I could make a small profit on them and I'd just dump them on eBay.  I spent a long time looking at Google images for Chaos Obliterators and I dislike every single version I've seen...including mine.   I think a Version 2 will occur eventually.

I think yours are much better than the more organic GW ones. Perhaps the whole Obliterator concept needs a radical rethink; but I still like these guys.

I was originally going to do the skulls in a metallic (like a grim faceplate).  I'd consider swapping more normal heads in there, but the Tartaros is a model where you need to put the head inside before gluing on the top, so I don't know if I could still do that now.

You are never satisfied  . I think your obliterators look fine. At least you have models so you try them out and see if you like fielding them. The ones you made are still far better than the GW ones.
