Fine unit.   Hope Victrix continue widening their range, looking forward to the Spanish cavalry.

Always interested to hear from others using Little Big Men transfers.   Do you also apply gloss varnish before applying the transfers and after to seal them in?   I use a damp brush after the backing paper is removed to wipe off any leftover film and 'tease' out any wrinkles.   Do like the way you integrate the transfer to the shield rim and spine.

I apply a coat of Lahmian Medium, it dulls the shield a bit, but being more realistic. When I had tried gloss varnish, it wasn't that good, even if I applied the medium later.

That's interesting, have also used matt varnish as an adhesive when water slide transfers fail to stick.

When I do my shields I brush on gloss first.  Decals like a nice flat surface to stick to. Then I use decal sol to soften the decal to conform to any irregularities on the shield.  Then just spray coat as normal. If I use a gloss because a lot of armor, I brush on matt on the shield to dull it back down.
