Celtic Noble sculpt
« on: 06 May 2016, 05:35:42 PM »
I've made the Celtic Noble miniature in preparation for Saga Invasions next year. He's 32mm tall, so I think he'll make a passable Warlord.

I don't plan on getting this guy cast. He's just a practice piece, but I'll use him in my games. The chainmail I should have made the rows horizontally across the figure rather than vertical,  as the vertical lines run into one another where the body tapers. One to remember for next time.

1) Why is this in "medieval"?
2) What is "chainmail"?

He's nice but I'm not keen on the shield boss (which is only my preference and doesn't distract form the overall sculpt).
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Good point, should be in the section above. Damn my fat fingers on this phone :D

Yes, the shield was rushed to get him finished. I plan on making more Celts, so will make a better example then get some resin copies made up for future sculpts.
