[KICKSTARTER] Polyversal. Sci-fi mass combat is back!
« on: 10 May 2016, 03:14:41 PM »
I know that there was some interest and helpful feedback on the forum during our first Polyversal Kickstarter. I just wanted to jump on and thank you for posting your thoughts about the game at that time. Byron Collins and I have reviewed all of the feedback we could find, and our new Kickstarter addresses as many of the issues as we could.

Feel free to post questions or comments about the project here, I'm happy to answer them!

Thanks for taking a look at our project,

Ken Whitehurst, designer of Polyversal

From the Collins Epic Wargames Press Release:
Polyversal Launches on Kickstarter

Polyversal is a new near-future science fiction tabletop miniatures wargame from
Collins Epic Wargames, now on Kickstarter.

Polyversal is a universal system that works with 6-15mm miniatures you may already have, or jump into the system with one of the boxed sets featuring miniatures and everything you need to play.

The system offers extensive customization, allowing you to design Combatant Tiles
for any miniatures you’d like to bring to the tabletop, in any science fiction setting.
Collins has partnered with 6 different manufacturers as well as artist Bruno
Werneck, the concept artist from Tron: Legacy, to help bring the game to life after
nearly 8 years of design by Ken Whitehurst. The game has its own compelling
backstory that you can help us tell, set in a near-future dying Earth between two
initial combatants- the UN and OPFOR.

Polyversal is on Kickstarter for the next 30 days and has a funding goal of $30,000.
The project features gameplay videos, reviews, a print-and- play you can try, and
much more. By pledging, you’ll also be the first to receive several new models
currently unreleased from Brigade Models, Plasmablast Games, and The Phalanx
Consortium. In addition, the Kickstarter is “shipping friendly” for the USA, Canada,
the European Union, and Australia, saving backers in these zones significantly on
shipping as well as eliminating import fees.

Pledge for Polyversal today and help us make this game a reality.

Goody! I backed the last one and got into this one right away again. Hope this time round they get the 30k they need to be succesfull.
I could really do with a multi-manufacturer 6mm sci fi game.

I'm interested but will wait and see. I love Epic 40k, the system, not GW's models as such. And any 6mm stuff will have to be pretty mega to push that off the top of my mass battle list.

Update: the project is funded now. There's 7 days left.

A 5th combat group has been added, mercenaries: Balkenkreuz G<BH. Featuring mainly plasma blast games tanks.

If you're interested, it's time to jump in.

I myself think it's looking great.

Interested but I am weaning out unused miniatures and there would be absolutely no storage space for this as I literally now have more miniatures then shelves and storage cases/boxes/trays from Kaiser Rushforth available - which, along with pending retirement, drove my decision to stop buying until I had space for what I am keeping.

Very much enjoyed following this effort but I will only be contributing well wishes per above.

There is a pledge level without miniatures and only the rulebook.  ;)
