Storage/Shipping containers on the tabletop

I acquired a few MDF storage containers by Crossover Miniatures.  These make great terrain for modern and sci-fi settings in both 15mm and 28mm.  Not bad models, and they go together pretty easy.

If I get more, they will get some different colors, but since I only have four I figured they could all be the same color.

I need to add a logo, but that can wait for now.

Nice work. These really are the best cheap shipping containers out there.

I tried two different paint methods and found that dispensing with a priming coat and spraying with colored spray paints works just as good as as paint over primer. As long as you don't spray to heavy, the grooves say dark because of the burned wood.  I had good luck with ruddy brown spray primer and even a "satin" blue spray color came out perfectly flat, probably because of the way the un-primed wood absorbs the paint.

True.  I've not done much of that, but it might be a good experiment with these models.
