I recently had a few games of Sharp Practice 2 at the club with Frank's ACW troops and terrain. It really is a pleasure to play with such a fine collection.
Here are a few pictures of the action:
Overhead View of the early stages of Battle 1

The Rebs enter play on the road as the skirmishers range ahead in advance of the column

A wayward spark from the Union Skirmishers sets the farm buildings alight (random event)

On the left flank the Union picket spot the Rebs in the cover of the woods opposite "Rapid fire boys, let 'em know we're here"

Game 2 - a view to the Confederate deployment point

Skirmishers deploy on the edge of the woods

The Union Line advances and fire, leaving themselves unloaded

and the Rebs reply with their own volley

SP2 is a fine game. We were very fond of SP1 and are getting to grips with the changes in the new version.
I particularly liked the skirmish screen in front of the line formation (can't see that here - no pictures at that stage). Giving the formation behind 1 extra level of cover really can make a difference when facing heavy fire.
Many more games to come I think.
