Inspired by the lovely work by Duhamel – ‘Recycling’ here on the Workbench.
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=87120.0I've put together a few post apocalyptic shacks for our future wars Pulp games, they are made from spare bits of thick cardboard, foam board, plasticard, balsa, plastic rod, bits box HO odds & ends, a £1 plastic car, & imitation Lego from Wilko (a pound type shop). All in probably not more than £10 cost. I've done some walls so they can sit in a walled enclosure. The walls were made from high density polystyrene packing with a bit of cheap filler on them. There'll be pics of the whole lot on our Pulp C22 entry in the Pulp LAF section when I post up the next report but meanwhile here are the shacks.
First up the kind of diner that doesn’t feature in the good food guide.
It used to be a container now its a home/ shop – ‘compact & bijoux’ I believe is the phrase.
Don’t believe those stories that a person died in here last week – it was actually two weeks ago.
This one is actually an old resin building which I bought second hand a few years ago but it was missing a roof which i’ve made from plasticard – see buying old tat on the off chance you may at some ill defined time in the future find a use for it is never a futile activity.
‘Useful outside storage areas ‘ Idea for all those ammo crates, oil drums etc that you have lying around.
Ok well every family needs somewhere to keep its pet pooch and if you have a radioactively mutated zombie Rottweiler this is just the dog house you’ll need.
‘For sale SUV, in need of a little TLC one careful owner ‘ (they obviously lent it to an un-careful person who drove it into the toxic sludge pit).
‘A desirable residence sporting many neo- post apocalyptic features situated a stone’s throw from the heart of a vibrant community’. That means that when there’s a riot in the town square the rocks thrown can actually reach to hit this hovel
‘An unusual little eaterie offering an interesting neo-ethnic menu.’ Somewhere that serves overcooked iguana burgers.
