Teaser for tonight's game set in the Texan War of Independence, using minis from my Boothill miniatures collection.
"Report Sgt.Garcia !"
"The scouts are back Captain Monastario, the broken cannon is still there, and no gringos in sight"
"Excellent, bring up the rest of the troop and the infantry,be quick and we'll be away before the enemy arrive !"

Well, that's the plan anyway  ,what could go wrong ? ;)

Tonight's game we used the One Hour Skirmish Wargames rules by John Lambshead, card driven rather than using dice.
Wel gamed the Age of the Musket version and the scenario was Capture the Cannon.
Fun game, turning cards was novel and the action rattled along quickly.
Captain Monastario unfortunately met an untimely end at the hand of a New Orleans Gray private, whose "bruiser" ability in combat proved to much for the Mexican officer,so a Texan win this time  :)
