15mm TMNT Battle Report
« on: 14 June 2016, 03:46:14 PM »
While waiting for my ninjas in the mail I thought I might recreate the first issue of TMNT with the Turtles battling the Purple Dragons in a turf war.  The Turtle minis are from Darkhorse .  I've wanted these minis since I first spied them back in 1987!  I'm using 'It's  Clobberin Time" as my ruleset.

Using playing cards the thugs go first.  They move to attack.  Unfortunately one couldn't make it to the next roof and is left dangling on the edge!  Leo activates first.

The thugs continue to overrun the turtles, and Mike doesn't have enough movement points to jump across.  Leo draws the first blood.

The leader of the thugs is carrying a shotgun and shoots Raph.  Don is able to cross the alley and block the gang members from crossing.  Instead of falling the dragon drags himself to the roof.

Mike and Leo hold the line, although Don takes a few hits.

Raph is able to finish off the last gangster, although he takes some damage in the process.  The turtles win, much like the comics.  Turtles by oldben1, on Flickr

I liked the small terrain, it meant the action was pretty concentrated.  The rules worked well too, although the leader with the shotgun did a lot of damage.

....and we fade into the night.

Very cute. And you've proved that this terrain is multi-useful. I'm going to have to copy it.

I think it should be re-named TWNT.

Teensy Weensy Ninja Turtles.

Nice work. I like the skyline battlefield idea

Here is my take on April and some mousers.  This is more or less how she appeared in issue 2 as a computer programmer.  I;ve been working on some modular sewer terrain as well.  Calimero painted the miniatures.

Cracking work. I must admit I'm a little surprised that you haven't combined it with your Daredevil project, seeing as Eastman and Laird have said that the original TMNT comics are in-universe with the Frank Miller Daredevil stuff.  :D

Well that is brilliant! Great use of those old figures, they are absolutely tiny by today's standards aren't they?
I'm loving your rooftop terrain more and more

I did a lot of research, Mikey is a little tall but oh we'll.  There are enough fantastic turtle threads out there for the 28 mm collector.
