Cheers guys, much appreciated!
Lascannon and Plasma gun finished. Eventually decided to ditch the idea of the warning lights on the side of the Plasma gun casing, it looked too goofy.

The Lascannon gunner was an ebay find from a couple of years ago, and because it was so long since I'd even looked at Marines, I didn't realise he should have had a telescopic sight for the Lascannon. When I did realise (after buying the bits to build a new-fangled plastic Devastator squad- about £10 cheaper that buying the boxed set...), I scrapped his bare head and gave him one of the fancy Devastator helmets with all the optics attached (never had those in my day...!) to make up for it.
The complete Tactical Squad, formed from two of the many "Combat Squad" boxes 12 year old me insisted on buying each week instead of laying off and buying a Predator or something at the end of the month, with an added Plasma gunner, the Ebay Lascannon dood, and a sergeant made from one of the Combat Squad Marines with a little hack & slash and help from Ebay...

Next up, more of the abundant Combat Squad motherlode. This time, formed the remainder into a Veteran Squad with a Meltagunner, and a Heavy Bolter and Veteran Sergeant from Ebay to top it off. Originally they were just gonna be left the same as the Tactical Marines and differentiated only by the insignia. However, I then thought I'd add some extra Purity Seals to signify their sweat status. A trawl of Ebay revealed that things had moved on since 1998, and in addition to Purity Seals, I found Marines now come with all sorts of ancilary crap, so they each got a litany on their shoulder plate and various other bits and bobs to make them stand out.
