I'll be the first to admit, I'm a sucker for Charity shops ;-)

I was walking through town this morning, and couldn't help but wander in to see if my local had any goodies. And, well, just when you think you have enough toy cars...mystery bags galore!

So what did I pick up? Well, I bought around 5 different mixed bags, and gave the cars I wouldn't / couldn't use back to the store so some kid can buy them ;-p First and fore-most are the buggies, a nice pair of beetles and my first proper VW Bug!

The bug needs alot of work though, I'll certainly say that. last owner must have been...rough to say the least. The steering wheel is located between the front and back seats.

The minis are an interesting one, as they are both actually smaller than the Corgi mini I already have. It creates an interesting situation, where I have two minis that are effectively the same, but one's slightly larger. I'll do a side-by-side comparison when I've got the paint stripped off of these.

I picked out these more futuristic looking cars. they'll fit in nicely in the Mars Death Arenas ;-)

Generic vehicles for terrain.

The ice-cream truck. Well, it's really more of a burger/snack van. But I think I'll convert it into a certain well known fellow from Twisted Metal Black ;-D

anyway, more soon.

Well it's been a hell of a while since I last posted, so I figured you guys should see a nice new special project I'm working on :-)

Now I know that Devil's Run has a thing for taking famous movie/tv show cars and having them in the game. Things like the Del'O'Ryan come to mind ;-p But I've not seen a take on the Ecto-1 so far, so considering I had a matchbox 1983 Cadillac Ambulance for a base I'd figured I'd give it a go!

Now it's not strictly 100% accurate, an it does have one hell of a large unliscenced, nuclear accelerator mounted on it's roof, but with a new shipment of bits from Dice Mechanic Studios (and their upcoming game AutoKill) I started putting 2 and 2 together ;-)

Now the hope is I'll start making more movie/tv-show tie in cars :-) A few Wacky Racers, I'll finally finish that Twisted Metal van...

New car build :-)
(and I'm using a new image hosting site...kinda maxed out my photobucket account...)

Waaaay back in early August I picked up a whole bunch of cars from my local charity shop (see above) and something that I always wanted to work on was that Ice-Cream van...

Well, inspired by Sweet-Tooth from Twisted Metal Black, I bring you the Ice-Scream Van ;-D

The clown head is mounted on a pin, for ease of storage and for pivoting in-game :-) It also means that other vehicles could be given the clown...

The wheels came from a Ford Pick-up from the 1980's. Toy teddy on the front of an old 40k Ork truck ram, and a plethora of Auto-Kill and other bits! Enjoy!

(note, I'm going to see if I can't find a way to reduce the size of the images I upload. Should make looking through this log a bit easier)

These could be fun, if a little more high tech than the "Mad Max" feel
http://www.dhgate.com/product/25pcs-a-car-mech-veyron-elastic-children/246223103.html

Found those while trying to find the Racer Knights cars. I know it's not as badass as the hotwheels, but would be a lot lighter to pack up :D

Looking for a set of rules that adaptable for different genres.

@Puuka
I can't say I fancy them if I'm honest ^^; flat snap-together plastic doesn't really hold a candle to a hot-wheels or matchbox toy car. Even with the most minimal of conversion work, it'll still look a hell of a lot nicer imo.

So she's finally had an update ;-D I decided it was time to actually crack on and get the lion's share of the work done on The Wolverine's trailer ;-)

As always, more images on my fb page; https://www.facebook.com/jameshall13/media_set?set=a.1551063954919335.1073741902.100000472370213&type=3&pnref=story

Sporting 15 bodies of slain cars, buggies and trucks, the trailer is a trophy rack / graveyard and post-battle workshop.

I'll be painting the car bodies in a similar fashion to the truck cab. A nice primer of black...so when I rake in those victories I can paint the gang-signs of those I've slain on the hulls!

I won't go over every inch of what I've added, as there's too much to just cover everything. But as always this build uses cars bought from charity shops, hand twisted barbed wire, plastic card and plastic rod, wheels that I've cut the tires from to look like hub caps, and tiny steering wheels I've saved from previous builds ;-)

and Tonka Monster-Truck Wheels. Big Toys for Big Boys 8)

Hell there's enough ground clearance for a buggy to slide under it! And comfortably mind.

Roof needs magnetising and finishing, and I've got more details to splatter here and there. Not to mention finishing the bumper, which is sorely lacking as a piece of sprue atmo.

More soon.

An awesome thread all around  :-*!  The detail you bring to all of your creations is phenomenal.  I love the Big Rig.  I've been building some vehicles in the neighborhood of 1/48 to go with with my 28-32mm models and would love to steal all of your ideas.  The rigs trailer rocks and the cash register in my head tallying up all those wrecks on the sides is hurtful but your visuals just about have me convinced it would be worth it.  Love the Corvus style plow too.  The form reminds me of a wrecking machine the mythbusters rolled out but yours is meatier and loaded with PA goodness; That semi was going through everything!

Okay so it's about time I updated with something (the thumb-screws have been on at work, so not much time for hobby I'm afraid).

So here's something I found in a Charity shop ;-)

Scalextric is completely out of scale, far too large for these diddy little cars, but the track itself, and railings, are very nice.

The bridge definitely has some uses, especially for the more corporation-based Death Races. Just need a suitable company name on there now...

Ultimately I'll have to see what I can come up with, but that said I did find some more cars to add to the table ;-)

...and yes I will have an actual update at some point, with builds in progress, or PiPs, just so it's not "look at what I bought" ^^;

tbh I didn't even know Hotwheels made a Skeletor and Masters of the Universe line of toy cars. But hey ho, will certainly make for an interesting paint job ;-) Don't worry, I won't be stripping the paint off of him.
