Thanks All!

Good pickup Malamute I wondered who would comment on that first!

Definitely someone with a better eyesight, larger monitor, or both, than I have.  ;)

Agreed, well done, Malamute!

Amazing stuff!

You could add 2mm "rivets" next time.  I use black ones*:

* Though these places sell all sizes, shapes and colors.  Some are metallic while others have a thin enamel coating that works well as primer.  I've used the 2mm black ones before as rivets.

Make sure to order each size a different color when they are just a mm or two different in size, otherwise your eyes will go all loopy.  :)

Fiendish Martians don't use rivets! They use arcane practices, in their own tongue, 'C'u pere glu-i'

Seams don't appear to do well in the cold, though...

Lol.  You're right.  I don't imagine they would use rivets.

But, should one of the wrecked tripods be repaired by humans ... I would imagine lots of patches with rivets.  :)

Yeah CC for me there are no rivets on sleek Martian Tripods, but lots on the equipment used by the Humans though.

Thanks for the links if I build anything big enough for Humamity needing 2mm rivets I'll look into them!

Don't forget that a 2mm rivet at roughly 1/50 scale would be 10cm across in "real life".  That's one big rivet!

Spot on Steve, I would have to build something pretty big...I find my sewing pin head technique works great for 1/56...
