I've seen those not Mass Effect figures but I've no idea what happened to them. A fully licensed range would potentially offer some great figures.

Fair point on the anime eyes, that have got a lot better in recent years. I was thinking of those old horror shows.

Something I had completely forgotten, where are the atomic robo miniatures for pulp gaming?

I'd second that call for Stargate.
Also Dan Dare, preferably classic 1950s illustrated versions but would accept the more recent animated one.
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

The world of Abercrombie's First Law - The Union, The Ghurkul Empire, The North (vikings+other barbarians), Styria and its smaller kingdoms/duchies etc, The Old Empire and its fiefdoms, and the Far Country (frontier/old-west). Lots of flavour:  factions and politics, peoples and personalities, culture and history. That and 'The Heroes' is one of my favourite war-related fantasy-fiction novels...

I was thinking about this a while back, not so much what I'd like to see (Atomic Robo, Dragonball Z and Invincible, but I'd honestly be fine with those in Clix anyway), but what would work as a game. With most SF/Fantasy games, there are a variety of armies or factions to choose from, in contrast, most historical eras (though not all) focus on the conflict between two sides. From a marketing perspective, getting the most "bang for your buck" is important when paying for an IP, the Batman Miniature Game has done well out of this, with over 70 years of comics, movies and cartoons to draw from, there are around a dozen versions of Batman alone to buy for the completionist.
Basically, any exercise in publishing an IP-inspired minis game is setting out to make money. A game will be more likely to make that sweet dough if the minis are nice and the game somehow captures the "feel" of the IP. Batman, again, has managed this. Kickstarter issues aside, I think AvP has a shot, even just for 40k players buying the odd mini for their army. The Spartan Halo stuff will probably enjoy a short boom unless they can support the community properly like the Pokemon or DBZ card games.

So, if I were running Warlord, Prodos or Spartan, what IP would I want to get my hands on?

Stargate has promise, but personally, I think the difference between the many factions (Humans, System Lords, Tok'ra, Asgard, Replicators, Wraith and so on...) would shine better in a fleet scale game, say 1-2 capital ships and couple of escorts. Things like Human ships teleporting nukes inside shields, Wraith Hives regenerating and Replicators turning enemies would give a depth of strategy that could keep the game interesting.

There's a series of Anime fighting video games I can't recall the name of in which the protagonists of various programmes can fight, ala Smash Brothers. Goku, Gutz, Vash and many more can go toe-to-toe in big arena battles. A series of high-quality, 32-54mm miniatures of some of these characters, with a highly strategic set of rules like BMG could gain quite a following. Sure, each mini would be around the $50 mark, but you only need one; not to mention the potential collector's market. Hell, non-gamers or collectors would by the Gokus and One Punch Mans in droves just to sit on their shelves and wank over.

That's my two cents.  :D

Just because I am that way, the old FGU Space Marines (pre-GW) aliens that Stan Johansen used to sell.

Now if they were in 15/18mm my "no new miniatures" pledge would crash and burn around my ears in a nano-second.

Rauwoofs, Blarads, Mekpurrs, Irsol, Klackons... I won't list them all.

Sigh.  Just unloaded the "30"mm old ones I had.

Star Wars (plastic for conversions)

TMNT ( although the KS mini game should be released later this year)

I think a Hunger Games style game would be "easy" to make.
2+ player and either a deck to control the dangerous environment or use a GM to control it.
Build alliances in larger player games.
Probably make a great convention game.

Another old cartoon I'd have rather liked to see would be Starcom.  Absolutely fantastic toys when I was a kid (way ahead of their time in quality/design).

Yes, this. 100% this! The noise the made when they expanded, the magnets, great toys. Let's have a 28mm range please.

Too bad 100% is the max, or I'd be even more behind it! I considered using the Crooked Dice Astronauts and using some of the actual toys, but never got far with it.

Other than that, Dan Dare and various other classic Sci-Fi settings get my primary interest - notably "Forbidden Planet" and the German "Raumpatrouille". And as for newer stuff, "Barrayar", preferrably including the Cetagandan occupation. Since there are little to no visual cues for the latter, it would be an interesting challenge to actually visualize it.

I'd like to see a range based on the Witcher (games and novels), especially the characters and more unusual monsters.
I'd also like someone to integrally re-release the Man O'War range, without any AoS-ification.

Ooooh, Starcom! I haven't thought about that in ages... That was ace.
