How to go about selling up an RPG collection?
« on: 24 August 2016, 03:58:39 PM »
Hey All,

I've decided that I want to sell off my collection of RPG books.

Only, I've no idea as to go about it - could anyone give me any advice in the area?

I've spent the better part of £1000 at a guess and would like to recoup as much as possible.

I'd rather sell in one big lot rather than sell individually though eBay or amazon, just to cut out the leg work. Are there any respectable 'second hand RPG book' traders? I'm in the UK, btw.

Most of my books are for playing "Exaulted".

Thanks for any help,

MM.

Might be worth looking for groups on Facebook or similar?

Generally the bigger the lot the lower the price per item.

You may want to split into a few lots, especially if you have some rare or unusual items. Also split out the more common or starter items, as people who want these won't be so interested in the rare items, and vice versa.

Also at a certain price point a lot of people will be put off just by the lack of available cash to cover the total cost. Whereas if split up its easier for someone to cover a £50 purchase.
