Larger railroad scales are the easy way out - O-scale trees for instance.

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

But be prepared to sell a kidney to buy yourself a forest worth 😉

Should be ok, think that pine forests are cheaper to buy than decidious forests if I recall correctly.

I've had some buddies who have had good luck with Chinese made railroad trees...occasionally quite cheap on eBay.  Worth taking a look I s'pose.

Will be interesting to give a try , but i think these trees will be of lower quality ...

No idea.  Not a big deal if you need a forest of them.   lol  Most of the stuff we buy here is made in China anyway.

Bachman Scenescapes trees were actually pretty reasonable and look pretty good as far as cheap large railroad trees.

Of course, I shouldn't talk about cheap, large trees, since I paid Peithetairos an unconscionable sum on commission to make a whole brace of incredibly sexy large trees for me (finished... but delivery postponed due to pending Canadian postal strike >:( ). Probably the most extravagant wargaming purchase I ever made, but I do like a beautiful table.   ;D

They were very old trees from a work project that was before my time and they were getting thrown out.

No idea whence they came I'm afraid. I've spent a lot of time looking for something similar but to no avail  :(

See what you can find at The Model Tree Shop.
https://www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk/

Their '180mm plus plastic trees range'.
https://www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk/trees/plastic-trees/150mm-plus-tall-trees.html

You can get three 200mm ones for £15, which I went for, one of each.
https://www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk/200mm-multibuy-trees-click-picture-for-options.html
Now the one with the dark trunk is really nice, has a good realistic shape.
The other two lighter ones only measure up at 180mm, which I wasn't too happy about, and the shape isn't so good.
But I do like the darker one, and plan to order another set of three of just that one sometime.
The trunks are very shiny plastic, so need painting, but they come out very nice, good bark texture.

They do bigger trees too but they quickly get very expensive. There is a 250mm on that page for £15..... And if you go to their 'large scale trees' page you can find ones up to 450mm, costing up to £35 each!
