I hope I can still get a sweet deal AFTER Christmas. The Minister of Finance has declared that mini funds have been re-allocated for the remainder of the season.  ;) ::)

I got a few sample figures from Nic yesterday. Had to paint them up quick so they might be used in Primeval before it goes to print later this week.

This Tribal thing definitely has me intrigued.  :)

Just had a game w/ my 13 yr old video-game addicted son, and he really enjoyed it, asked for a second game immediately after our run-thru! This is unprecedented... ::)

Really a fun game, simple to learn, and with enough new features to make it interesting  enough to keep playing. I'm hooked, and will get Primeval as soon as it is available.

the entire gang of these has been cast along with a pride of cave lions. They look really good and are an interesting and different looking addition to any prehistoric range.

What do the cave lions look like?

Well as Cave Lions probably didn't look too different to regular lions (except possibly a shorter mane on males), I just consider these Lions (or all types). Here they are, unpainted in front of the only vaguely appropriate terrain I had on hand. I want to play them using Primeval's animal rules as Gladiatorial Lions (hence the gladiator in the background).
3 males ( two attacking 1 resting) and 2 females (1 stalking and 1 walking with an antelope leg in her mouth)

Looks like closing time at 'Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem'.  lol

"Oi! You spilled my pint! Rargh!"  Meanwhile, the lioness is scarfing a doner-antelope kebab...

How are you gonna play the animal rules with the gladiator rules? I'm intrigued...

Check it out here: http://www.manapress.com.au/tribal/

I shall... not that I need more projects at the moment, but as far as I gather, the rules can easily be adapted for indigenous African tribal fights, and as I plan to make a Jungle Tribes 'column' for Congo, anyway...  ;)

The rules are perfect for African tribal fights. It's a good way to use the models in a game of their own. My own African tribes are actually Lord of the Rings Mahud (fighting off Haradrim slavers). These models have had more use in Tribal and pulp games than actual games of LotR.

Are these available for sale from Eureka yet? I like the lions. It took me a while to work out what was wrong with the lioness head, then I read the description and realised it was stuffed full of antelope  lol . You could even use the different poses for the different responses (at rest, attacking etc..). Pity there is not a male lion walking.

I don't know if they are on Eureka's website yet, but give Nic an email and I am sure he'll oblige.
I think there are a few more lion poses. I saw greens of some lion cubs at least.
