After a weekend well spent, I now (somewhat finally) got Odin and Freyja painted up as well. About time I can put a fully finished warband on the table, although I now have to get a freshly recruited archer done too (just a few more after that, and I should have all I'll need for this Frostgrave group). They may well see some use in SAGA too actually; it's where I got the plastic Vikings for in the first place (never finished painting them back then, quickly distracted by a Skraeling and then Irish warband). My usual warlord figure was a bit boring though, so he may well get replaced by Odin from now on!

Speaking of whom...

And also...

(She reminds me of Gillian Anderson from this angle. Not that that's a bad thing.)

Beautiful paintjob on her! Can we see some in-game shots as well?
from Mr.Vampire: "It's the paintjob that makes the miniature fight harder not the size."

And both taken to a beautiful finish.
 :-* :-*

You could use these as a solid basis for a Norse faction in Of Gods and Mortals too.
 ;)

Bit late, but thanks for all the lovely replies people. Now that we've left the dungeons behind and will once again be fighting above ground, I'll finally be getting the bases properly done. May do some in-game pictures as well, now that the surroundings are more interesting than print-out paper corridors!

Will probably need an additional two warriors for the next game, a ranger (shown before, but not painted yet) and demon hunter (both for the Forgotten Pacts and because my opponent enjoys summoning them!). Initially planned to have the latter's crossbow replaced by a thrown weapon of sorts (Thor too is equipped with a crossbow, representing him chucking his hammer), but later decided upon an actual crossbow. The plan then was to have him more Norman, but once again changed my mind and ended up with something different again. So here is [insert name here], whose look was influenced by typical Pictish aesthetics (still around in the late Dark Ages). Fitted somewhat nicely with the official background of these guys being travelling mercenaries too, which I rather like. Entirely built from the GB Dark Age plastics, even if that set comes with neither helmet, two-handed axe nor crossbow.

Next week should be less busy than the previous one, so hopefully able to paint a few guys and get all the bases done.
