Here is the next Halfmen Knight . Falk von Schalke a nephew of Dietrich von Schalke. He is bearing the back horse of Schalke as his heraldic device on a white background. These are the arms of the part of Gelsenkirchen which is called Schalke.

Very cool!  8)

Love the heraldry. I have thought about using black dog as general emblem for my halfling army... if I ever get to paint them  ::)

This black horse is nowadays referred to an Grubenpony (pit or shaft pony) :)

Nice painting and basing work btw.

Cheers

A fine addition to the retinue!  8)

I was thinking of giving shields to some of the retinue members of my halftone, have you considered the same?

I hope you all had a wonderful x-mas and I think, as it is only the 2nd of January, I can still wish you a wonderful new year 2017!

Here is the first finished miniature for 2017 a trumpeter in the colors of Falk von Schalke.

Wonderful looking unit!

Which rules are you planning on using with the halfmen?

I have the rules but must confess that I haven't yet read them :/

Good to know that mixed units are a possibility.
