Zona Perestrelki: Test Game 1 (Updated with squad pictures)
« on: October 13, 2016, 12:46:54 AM »
Last night, our game group started working on the next iteration of our home-brew rules, 'Cleared To Engage'. This time around the game will be flavored specifically for STALKER-style skirmishes. We're taking some excellent recommendations from Mr. Peabody and incorporating them. Our first game was to test and tweak the new Will/Morale mechanic. It was still a fast and deadly game, but no one was overly concerned with preserving their forces. Bandits for the narrow win this time. More pix and reports coming as the Zone allows.

Thank you. And yes, the LA figs capture that STALKER/METRO 2033 vibe perfectly. In all seriousness, not gushing, they are the absolute best, IMO.

I'm looking forward to fielding them as we hone CtE and hammer out an new, updated rule set.

Spent the weekend creating the first faction squad. Ex-military types, they have decent experience and gear. The figs are Empress Miniatures Modern Russians with head swaps. Other faction squads on the painting table include Zone Enforcement troops, a (heavily armed) U.N. Research Team, and RMU/Elite Bandits (Rogue Military Unit turned Mercenary) These aren't my best work but good enough to die in the Zone, I think. They're deploying for the first time tomorrow night. Wish them luck.

UPDATE: ZP Squad 2.

Zone Enforcement troopers this time. A standard patrol with Exo-suit support.

Groovy!

Especially like Mr. Exo-Suit.  8)

Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing
