Tokens, Markers etc. for Combat Zone / Future War

Bought a copy of CZ from EM-4 for some cyberpunk action (having lost my copy of Future Wars rules from Copplestones...d'oh!).

Anyway, these came with some fairly flimsy cardboard tokens to denote Rout, Keep Down etc. so I've been looking for some affordable plastic / acrylic tokens that could take their place.

I saw someone playing Rezolution with some nifty tokens that maybe could have done the job and the said player informed me they came from Litko in the States.  Checked them out and although they were very good, there weren't many options that were directly CZ compatible and the customisable option was eye-wateringly expensive.

So, does anyone know where I can get some good quality tokens that can be used for a CZ / Future Wars game (when I find them dam rules!) or ideas on how to make your own? 

As an alternative, I've ordered some clear, coloured acrylic sheets (3mm) to see if me and my trusy Dremel can make a stab at producing my own.  I'll report later on the damage to my fingers, workbench, self-esteem etc. in producing these.

Geronimo at Fenris Games has some plywood bases that I have used for making tokens for Crossfire (15mm, WWII), but which I will also be using for making tokens for CombatZone, when I get around to it.

I used to buy from Litko, but once I found out that Geronimo can make these, I changed to him as my UK plywood dealer

Or you can just use coloured counters in the same colours as the original tokens (red, green, yellow and blue), EM4 has very inexpensive coloured counters without text (about 40 per quid):

I must say however that even though the cardboard counters look flimsy, they still work for me

I got a bag of sixty or so plastic dics from a childrens art store. Before that I had used plastic tokens from a tiddlywinks game I picked up at a dollar store.

I second the use of plastic counters (tiddlywinks) and not just because we sell 'em

I use the smallest ones (12mm), using the same colours as the card ones, as suggested above. I'm not a great fan of markers on the table and particularly great cardboard things that look unsightly. If counters have to be used, I like them as small as possible and durable. Ergo - 12mm counters....

As a side note, we often ran out of Keep Down counters during games and used M&M's instead, but that's a very dangerous business

There is nothing wrong with using M&M...  except normally those run out even faster...
