Excellent thanks, sounds like it should work :-) Even if it ends up not fitting in though it looks really good in your picture and worth getting. Reaper do a few really nice figures.
Your Welcome!
It really is a cool figure.  I don't mind a bit of differing in heights especially if it's for special character figs.  Sometimes I'll also compensate for various sizes through basing.

I don't have it in my collection, but I don't recall the space marshal being as oversized as some of the other Chronoscope figs that are true giants.  As an example their Mad-Max fig is a cool mini, but it is enormous when put next to 28mm figs.

28mm is a weird scale, it seems to encompass heroic 25mm up to 32mm. I think Warlord Dredd must be 28mm heroic, so while some stuff definitely doesn't work (like Konflikt 47), quite a bit seems it can fit in if you choose carefully and hopefully a few Reaper will. The different bases is a great idea. I was looking at that Mad Max / Rex Road Future Hero one but the style won't really fit in with Dredd. This Reaper one might though, I think I'm going to get a Cursed Earth Confederacy going:

EM4 seem really good. I guess it makes sense with how the internet opened things up but not having kept track over the years (I quit pre internet & when GW's had almost completely taken over), it's amazing how many excellent smaller enthusiast figure manufacturers there are these days, I've found a few real gems.

CP Models do loads of really nice figures (including great Star Trek ones that would be lots of fun in Dredd), and these would be excellent for Rogue Trooper for alternate troops:

And if they scale Shadowforge do some figures that would work perfectly with my Vatican Judge as fighting nuns, the Sisters of Divine Justice, they even have a mortar for Justice from above. Or they could be Brit-Cit Womens Institute Citi-Def, Jam and Justice.

And then there's these that I found last night, if they scale (had a chat with the guy and he said he'd post a pic to see how they do) would work fantastic as a Native American style Cursed Earth (or crazy Meg 1) gang, part of a Cursed Earth Confederacy. Post apocalyptic cowboys / Southern rebel / badland outlaws definitely need some Native American types.

I will pop up some scale comparisons later alongside my Mongoose Judges.
Anything in particular from the Outlanders range you want me to use...?

Have a look here and let me know if there is:

I think they'd all work. Your Outlanders is a brilliant range, I think the style fits perfectly and it's a full gang / tribe of proper post apocalyptic Native Americans (and not cliched Apaches, proper North American ones). I was looking at a blog on the net where they gamed a Cursed Earth scenario focused on a trailer trash type settlement called Standard Falls, these would have fitted in perfectly. And not just as troop alternatives, but for the community overall, the Mayor (and his robo-duck), Customs official (and that ace robot) would be great civilians for it.

If it scales ok, I'm definitely going to be getting the Marshal and robo-dog, female outlanders, and one or 2 other packs for now, then hopefully more later (when my finances have recovered from chasing that Dredd range) to fill out the whole gang. It's great the range has interesting females (and not gratuitously dressed / posed ones, not that there's anything wrong with that but when that's all there is it's a bit too much), but also males too (and a couple of juves), so it's a proper mixed community, which makes the few female figures stand out more in their own right, in context that makes them believable / interesting.

So Marshal, robo-dog, female outlanders, shaman pack (that has a tall and little guy in) should give a good idea on how the various figures scale.

Here are some shots that I have to hand showing how the Outlanders scale with each other....

I will sort out some shots of the figures that you mentioned with Judges later.

I just realised that the quickest and easiest way to do this was just to move some figures around in one of my cabinets and throw some random Judges in the mix.
So, here ya go, with the figures that you mentioned:

Not the best picture but it does give an idea of size/scale comparison.

The Outlanders figures are full of character. I'll be using mine as Cursed Earthers, amongst other things.

They scale really well & look superb. I've become a bit nervous on scale since I got some Konflikt 47 Soviet armoured infantry (thinking they'd make good East Meg grunts) and at 28mm true they are obviously a tiny bit too small. If it were just a couple of figures wouldn't have mattered but I intended to have lots as a main force and it wasn't going to work. Then I tried Infinity, their older ones scale but the newer ones are much smaller. I've seen people complain about a few of the Mongoose / Warlord Dredd being off-scale (like the female Cadet judge and maybe the riot judge), but it's only the odd figure and is explicable by the fact people are different sizes. But some Infinity (that I never see people complain about) was so different to others it's like they're from different manufacturers completely and aren't meant to work together.

These Outlanders scale great with Dredd & will work brilliantly as Cursed Earth community, maybe as part of a Confederacy threatening Federal / Union style Meg 1 or as good guys being irregulars to the Meg 1 Judges. Off to ebay to buy some now. I'm overspent catching up on the Warlord Dredd stuff a bit :-P so can't get it all in one go as I'd like but will be back for more. Your sand people look excellent for Cursed Earth too.

Re full of character I agree, apart from their costume fitting in perfectly with Cursed Earth (and being Native American style & as a proper community giving it a sense of realism / depth that is maybe missing from how it's often portrayed), they just have the right comic style. Like Mongoose figures they are hugely charming and human, they have natural vamp :-)

If you are going to purchase any I would suggest going direct to the website:

http://blindbeggarminiatures.co.uk/shop/categories/Sci-Fi

That way I avoid ebay fees, which allows me to give away freebies instead.
Everyone's a winner that way.

Yes I will I just remembered you'll get hammered by crazy ebay charges.

edit - ebay is a fantastic advertising channel, I only discovered this big new (to me) miniature world from coming across stuff on ebay, would never have found most of it otherwise. It's definitely worth having a presence there if you can establish a direct relationship with the buyers after their first purchase, even with the fees it's very low cost customer recruitment for something that must struggle to get seen outside of the immersed enthusiast community that already knows.

Any chance we can see better pics of your Dredd stuff mate? I don't remember seeing them anywhere!  :?

Couldn't resist and bought the whole gang (I don't think it charged postage, if not you can put that through separately is fine or send a bill and I'll pay). I couldn't not get a fat Mayor and robo-duck, and if I got those I needed the rest :-P

A few different armies to complete for my Dredd hub but that's my Cursed Earth army sorted, Angel Gang, Cursed Earth Desperadoes, some Renegade Robots, some ABC's (Happy Shrapnel, Blackblood, and Mongrel in Confederate style colours), my new Blind Beggar Native American gang / community, a few Copplestone (like that 4 pack on last page) Citadel and others (like Reaper Phat Clarke), all I need now is a few sci-fi Confederates to go with Phat Clarke and maybe a robo-horse or two and it's a war(game)! Maybe original imperial guard will scale ok and work as sci-fi Confeds, though I think there's a definite gap in the market for sci-fi Confeds and wacky robo-horses, sci-fi Wild West / Western badlands seems popular and I've seen one American company I think maybe kickstarting a range of sci-fi Confeds but they are too GW Space Marine, no human character or charm. Other than those there's apparently nothing Confed about. But their uniform (especially tatty as post ACW renegades) is up there with the coolest of things (in bad guy or at least renegade / rebel / anti Federal terms). Clint Eastwood only did cool, he starred in Where Eagles Dare so he could be a good guy in a much cooler 3rd Reich uniform (and fun 3rd Reich bad guys seems big in pulp gaming like Hitler bot, She-Wolves and Shadowforge Politburo), he did Outlaw Josie Whales too.

You may have but not posted by me, mate.
The Judges were all painted by Dr. Falkenhayn, who I bought them from and are all really well done.

I could only find this picture showing some of his work...

I will take some shots of them soon enough as, between your project and this thread, I have suddenly found the urge to get some Cursed Earth action going on and plan to get the boys round for a game soon.
I shall take more piccies then.

Searching around obscure (to me at least) miniature makers, I found these couple of figures from killerb Starhide range to go with the Outlanders (or their Cursed Earth community), I think would fit in well.

A mutie sasquatch-hunter who is a sasquatch, in sunglasses. Has similar clothes to Outlanders.

A robot bounty hunter cowboy

robot cowboys with what look like Dredd style shoulder pads (3 different arm / gun types)

Then I found this Jetbike with 4 different Robot riders from Great Escape Games (uk), Red Star Coven. They're apparently resin not metal but if they scale they'd do great as extra robot bikers for kickstarters looking forward to their Mongoose versions:

They'd be perfect for Cursed Earth. I guess they might have to cast them up so could be a longish delivery time but if they scale then probably worth it, would fit right in.
