Malifaux: Painting the other swampfiends
« on: October 30, 2016, 05:35:21 PM »
Already did a thread showcasing painted Silurid models, now here's the rest of the Swampfiend models.

Their boss Zoraida the Swamp Hag, along with her Voodoo Doll familiar.

McTavish, mercenary swamp guide, beast wrangler, sniper, and all-around smelly guy, along with alligators big and small.

A couple of other Bayou Gators.

And a trio of Waldgeists, which are probably my favorite treefolk minis on the market these days.

I think between the Silurids and Bad Juju (who are on the other thread) that's all the Swampfiend-keyword models at present.  Might have missed something though, most likely a Gremlin model or two.  Not sure about all the pigs.

It's worth mentioning that some of these are rather fiddly to assemble, especially Zoraida and some of the Waldgeists.  Wyrd is overfond of extremely small pieces, and their online instruction guides are not entirely helpful at times.  It's always best to take a look at those guides before buying and decide if they look like too much of a pain.  Malifaux has lovely sculpts generally, but the difficulty of putting them together is part of why I charge as much as I do when I paint them.

The gators are also a bit all over the place in terms of sizes, to the point where I think they simply rescaled the renders to fit their bases.  That may not be too much of an issue since real gators vary a lot in size, but YMMV on that.
