Steel discs

Has anyone tried these or any equivalent as bases for your miniatures.

At £0.17 a piece the prices are not exactly competitive but they do not have that annoying hole in the middle like washers do.

Yep, best use for 1p and 2p coins is basing!

Since the mid 80s or so UK copper coins have been steel. Way cheaper than the cheapest of washers.

This might be a good option, for some reason all washers I have been able to find the past year have been twice as thick as the ones I'm used to. Like there was some new law passed or there is only one producer who supplies everybody who decided to make them thicker.

Have you tried Hornbach? Sold by weight. Mine are from there and are 25mm in diameter and approximately 1,5mm thick...

I haven't but I clearly should. Though my "old" washers are under 1mm generally. Ah well.

I am also "over here" but everytime  go to the UK I fill my pockets with coins
