Looking good!

Would love to see at least one guy, carrying large, heavy dufflebags, with the tip of a rifle slightly protruding, just for grins.  Mad Mike Hoare and 'is mates shouldn't 'ave all de fun on de African continent.

I forget which small country they were planning to take over, when someone spotted the weapon, but a major kerfluffle in "customs", and/or at the airport ensued after someone spotted that little error.

As for the machetes, shouldn't be too hard to scratch-build those, with a little ingenuity, and some styrene rod and plasticard.

It wasn't Africa, it was the Seychellles and Hoare was and presumably still is a complete gobshite.

I like the duffle bag idea...

A few machete types are planned (excuse poor lighting):

Over the last couple of weeks I have been painting up British Mercenaries for our 'The Wild Geese' participation game at 'The Other Partizan' on 20th August. The Miniatures are from Mike Bravo Miniatures.

I have written a step by step painting guide on my Hobby Blog :

Yesterday afternoon, I got to run a play test of our Wild Geese game that we are developing to run at Partizan with Buck and Tom Surdu.

I've still got a few bits to model... at the moment we are using some iron railings to stand in for the chain link fence and some of the small pieces of scatter terrain still need to be painted, but enough has been completed to use for a play test.

I've added a write up off the game to my hobby blog @ http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Hobby-Pages/Hobby-Blog/Wild-Geese-Play-Test-with-Buck-Tom

Nice idea about the RLI and l have just pledged 4 packs. Separate heads would be nice to reflect the irregular look of this unit, they did not wear many berets in the field either.
