Clear basing on 20mm WW2 figures
« on: 15 November 2016, 03:15:11 PM »
A customer from France emailed me some rather nice photos this morning of WW2 20mm scale figures from Battleground that he has remounted on Sally 4th clear bases.

I think he has done a fantastic job!
I've up loaded the rest of his WW2 photos up to our clear basing gallery @ http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Clear-Terra-Bases/Clear-Basing-Gallery

used 1.5mm clear on my 28mm commandos.   I like them!  I'll eventually rebase my Soviets to make them multi season too

Fantastic, clear basing is really taking off, I think.
Here at Sally 4th, clear bases have been our no 1 seller for the last 6 months, we ship out thousands every week of every size and shape you could imagine. We even have some special ones for random movement of figures that have 1-6 engraved around the edge!

I'm re-basing all of my WW2 figures so that they match the terrain, because it's not just the multi-season thing with figures on grass or snow, on one gaming board you could have beach, road and grass.

Here's some of my German Para's blending in with the floor boards. Lots more photos in our basing gallery.

Hi Chris,

I saw on your site that you have 40mm x 40mm at

http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/epages/950003459.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/950003459/Products/cb008

I'm finding it hard to tell if the sides of the base are angular or rounded.  I prefer to be able to lift stands by the stand and not by the figures and rounded would be difficult to pick up.  Can you clarify?

Yes, they are laser cut, so square edged. No problem picking up miniatures with bases.
