Wow that is some terrain.  Lovely boards especially the WW2 landing zone.  But painting 6mm would be a nightmare for me.

Lovely stuff  8) 8) 8)

Some of the techniques would be most suitable for other scales as well.

cheers

Why so? It's not the same as working on 28mm, it's more impressionistic.

Yes although I would suggest everyone abandon those bulky scales and just switch to 6mm, it'd be easier for everyone.  :P

6mm was where I started in wargaming (Dirtside II 6mm science fiction, to be specific) and although it's been years since I painted or even gamed in that scale it's a pleasure to see it done well and 6mm really does portray the epic sweep of whole battles at once better than probably any other scale!

Sidney Roundwood's recent 2mm Thirty Year's War stuff is also suitably epic: https://sidneyroundwood.blogspot.ca/2016/11/lutzen-1632-2mm-battle-of-thirty-years.html

After doing 28mm Russian Civil War for several years I've been resisting the urge to re-visit the RCW in a much smaller scale (10mm or smaller) for more of an epic feel. Posts like this aren't helping me resist that urge!

I can only just see enough detail to paint 28mm.   :D :D
