Watched it today and I consider it a worthy successor to the original one, even better when it comes to the story. There are 3 short movies that everyone should see first, that cover the gap in the timeline between the original Blade Runner and this one.

Visually there are several nods to the original one but it's not a copy. Overall it was one of the best movies I've seen this year.

Next week, sequels to King Lear, Medea, Parsifal, and Waiting for Godot.

Thank you, this sounds really good to me!
Which are they and where could I find them?

I think this is the best site to see them (specially because it has then in correct chronological order):

I watched it last night. Absolutely loved it. The sound os incredible (it was very loud - in a good way - at the cinema I went to) and it looks great. Develops the story, keeps the tone and explores new ground. Ace.

Seeing it tonight after work. My mate has seen it once already and he has been given 2 free tickets! So he is insisting I go.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

Saw it last night and, yes, it lives up the the hype and reviews.

Like it a lot.

very well shot and nicely paced. A worthy successor to the original.

Saw it Friday... Wow... Absolutely loved it. An epic successor. Superb visuals, rich audio (that bass tone!!) and a great story. Must watch it several more times.

I love Bladerunner. I can see why some people don't - but I have been in love with the movie since first seeing it as a teenager.

And I loved 2049. It's debatable for sure, but it may be a better film overall than the original.

I just saw it, and it was awesome! Those visuals alone would have made for a great film, but the soundtrack and story were just as rich. Great experience!

And in the scene where Joe flies to the scrapheaps, along the dam, did anyone else spot the Conestoga-class Troop Transport (the Sulaco from Aliens) looming in the background sky?  8)

Glad I wasn't the only one noticing that! The shot of the ship is really long and the antennas on the front are a really big giveaway
