French Line Infantry - My way of saying hi and Merry Christmas
« on: 21 December 2016, 09:30:06 PM »
Thought I would post a link to a photo of 10 battalions of Perry French Line I finished last March.
Sold them to a friend of mine.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Everyone!

??? Did the Frenchies really have twenty foot long flagpoles?  ???

The flags are GMB and are larger than what would be historically correct, the flag poles are in proportion to their size.  If you take the time to look you will notice that where the flag fits in the socket and the difference between the socket and the ground, the bottom of the flag would just clear his hat.  It was a compromise with the overall size, and that would be about 11 foot in height total not twenty exclusive of the eagle.

That really is impressive John! And I prefer oversized flags too, it just looks better on the tabletop.

Thanks again folks, Merry Christmas!
Don't game anymore, most of the fellas I gamed with have passed on or live far away now as we moved out west.
I just paint a lot for something to do, like Santa in the Toy shop.  Could use a few elves though!

Take Care
