Project Z - Spec Ops Insertion vehicle size comparison
« on: 26 December 2016, 04:08:48 PM »
I think this is the correct place to post this.

I bought the Warlord Games Spec Ops deal for our grandchildren's zombie games.  When I saw the Humvee in the box I thought it matched the ones available in Poundland 's "Army Force" die cast toys.  So a quick trip to the shops braving the crowds of Christmas shoppers and the resin model in my pocket for size comparison.  To my amazement the toy and the model are very close in size.  So I bought all 7 in the shop - 4 with the turtlebacks and 3 with the hard top.

The 4 turtle back toys have had a 20mm laser cut base, a card hatch and weapons from the spares box added.  Not brilliant but at 1 GBP per vehicle instead of 15 GBP they look OK.

Looked for them in my local Poundland and couldn't find any. Have to check again later.

Tried two others today - none there.  I must have been lucky as the assistant in one shop said they have not had them since the summer.
