No one's playing that sort of thing down in KC?

I'm about an hour and a half from there, maybe we can meet up sometime. I'm interested in pretty much every 40K skirmish variant. I have Rogue Stars, Rogue Planet, Pulp Alley, Shadow War (just finished up a campaign with a friend), Necromunda, you name it. Haven't played most of them sadly :)
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

2nd edition 40k is a good option if you tweak the squad coherency rules for games under 500 points or so.
