1066 Mini Campaign
« on: 07 January 2017, 01:22:45 PM »
We've decided to play a mini SAGA campaign based on the fateful events of 1066. Obviously we won't be fielding the same numbers of troops as the real battles deserve, but hopefully we can create scenarios that offer players the chance to consider some interesting decisions.

The idea is to play three games based on Fulford Gate, Stamford Bridge and Hastings. Each of the scenarios is written and the first game has been played.

Our 1066 campaign continues at Stamford Bridge!

Harald Hardrada has set up camp on the Battle Flats and awaits the arrival of hostages. But in the distance a large body of men appear. As he squints against the September sun, Harald realises that Harold Godwinson has marched to meet him in battle.

Thanks a lot.

For club games, we usually have to be a little functional with scenery since we don't have enough time to fully set the table. But I thought I'd still include the tent and a few provisions to set the scene.

The tent is a Warbases mdf model. I added paper to the sides to make it less wooden in appearance.
