I want to hang out at your swap meet, man.  All we have here in Portland is over-priced hipster swarmed Goodwills, and an entire generation that doesn't understand the concept of a garage/yard sale (they seem to think 75% of retail is marking it to sell).

Dang, those Crankys are amazing.

Do you know what system they are from?  I've got a couple cranky's from what I think was the die-cast thomas system and they are nice, but not nearly that nice.

Slightly off-topic, but when I was in Portland I did notice that the Goodwill stores were oddly expensive.  Here in Chicagoland Goodwill is really cheap, but we also have a fair bit of resale competition.   Goodwills I've visited in the country have generally been a bit more expensive, but nothign like the prices in Portland.

AWu, the cranes are 18 inches tall from the ground to the top of the control box and 29 inches tall from the ground to the top of the arm.  As to what any of my figures might be thinking that is beyond my talents to assess.

Really.

They keep their voices so low, I can't make out what they're saying. And I hear them ALL night...

Oh, I'm sorry. This ISN'T the Gothic board.  ;)

My wife and I are annual passholders at Disneyland and visit the Magic Kingdom regularly (about a 30-minute drive from our home).  A few years ago I was in the Emporium on Main Street and to my surprise I found that Disney had released a new, unusual park-related toy.  That toy was the parking lot tram and to my pleasure it is very 28mm compatible.  Because we are passholders we get a 20% discount on our purchases and meals.  Over time I have purchased several of the trams and two of them will be used as my spaceport transit and hauling vehicles.  The two flatbed trailers shown here are John Deer trailers that I picked up at the swap meet for $1 each.

OMG, this is PERFECT!!!  :-*

The "toy safari" is always one of the most pleasurable parts of the hobby, IMHO!  lol

Brilliant!
Really brings to mind the people movers in the Rebel bases in Star Wars.  Excellent choice and I love the paint scheme.

I've got one of the older Star Tours spaceships (the smaller 28mm'ish one, not the action figure size). It's missing the roof and I'll probably end up removing the top of R2-D2, but it'll be a focal point of my spaceport.

Thanks all three for taking the time to write.  I'm glad the three of you like the tram.  I love it but I wasn't sure how others would see it.  Every once in awhile Disney will put out a toy sold only at the parks or in their stores that are really great for repurposing, and I think this is one of those.  I did a little tongue-in-check thing in my Gangster gallery where I treated a street shooting as though it was being filmed for a movie and followed that using one of these trams as a studio tour bus... great little toy.

dinohunterpa, I have always loved the hunt which is why I am at my local swap meet every weekend.

Mason, if you decide to search for a tram or two I wish you luck.  For all I know Disney may sell it at their on-line store.
