Brinks Truck for 1:43
« on: February 23, 2009, 10:55:03 PM »
Gents,
I'm looking for a Brinks armored truck for an upcoming gangsters vs Feds shootout in a city.

I'm also thinking about getting the WorldWorks Bank from Mayhem.

Should be fun but we are desperate for a Brinks truck.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

1:43 is huge for 28mm. If you want to scratchbuild an armoured truck, you could take a regular one, add some armour to the windows, etc. Might work better.

I use 1/48 for 28mm al the time.  I think 1;60 looks to small.
You might try looking at the "all fronts armor" site.  They have a number of closed trucks or military armored cars that would would work.

Leadfool, if you are talking about "all fronts armor", as in "All Fronts Armor Depot", NO NO NO!  STAY AWAY!

First, they will not fulfill their orders.  I bought about $400 bucks worth of stuff, but only received about $150.00 of it.  They would not return e-mails or phone calls for the rest of the order or for a refund.

They also are suspected of making illegal re-casts.  They ones I did get looked mighty fishy to me.  As well as the casts were really bad.

Look at the TMP threads first...

I would stay away from these guys.  Just my 2 pence...

They were banned from all HMGS_East and HMGS-Midwest conventions due to making illegal re-casts, which also were really bad.

Banned, wow, I did not have a problem, with my last order, but maybe I just got lucky.  Thanks for the heads up.

There have been several companies that have made recasts over the years, that come and go.  I did not think All Fronts was one of them just because they have been around a while.
