Lich Finale
« on: January 29, 2017, 09:35:06 PM »
This game is between my brother and I, with two of our warbands each against the Lich Lord (and each other). I'm playing as an enchanter and Chronomancer, while my brother has his summoner and necromancer. It's been played across two sessions, and will need a third sometime next weekend to finish. Unfortunately it's not a battle report, more just some pictures of the crazy battle going on - it's been a vicious game so far! Apologies for terrible photography and the fact that not everything on the table is painted.

The set-up:

Some nasty armoured skeletons lurking about!

My chronomancer, Oswald (with the pointy hat), with skeles coming for them:

My brother's necromancer warband, skeles coming for him too!

Oswald lets loose an elemental bolt, and bang, one less armoured skeleton!

My enchanter warband turns up to support his temporary ally:

My brother's summoner enters the field:

Bang! Another of Oswald's elemental bolts connects and destroys another armoured skeleton - two spells and two dead skeles, not a bad start old son!

Necromancer apprentice destroying an armoured skeleton with a bone dart. Good lad.

Chronomancer's archer, Reidorf, criting another poor skeleton with an excellent shot:

Brand new necromancer treasure hunter, taking out two armoured skeletons in his debut action, and first two swings in hand-to-hand combat:

Oh no, a necromancer thug is taken down by the spear of an enemy skele:

Much to the other cultists hiding in the middle of the board waiting for a good chance for an ambush, Jonah and his crazy mate Isiah, charge towards the necromancer, heedless of the pleas of their friends:

Some combat in close quarters - Algob the infantryman with his two-handed sword takes down a skele (top left corner):

His buddy, Skigzog taking the other one down:

Summoner's treasure hunter saving a wounded snake (warhound) with the assistance of a javelineer:

Reidorf the archer takes down another skeleton:

The summoner's imp is taken down:

The other three cultists charging forward in dramatic, but rather silly, fashion:

as their friends are cut down by the necromancer's warband:

A necromantic archer takes out the final armoured skeleton that charged them:

The Chronomancer's marksman hit by a bone dart for 6 damage (worst for the marksman to come!)

Reidorf is taken down by the summoner's crossbowman!:

My marksman finally taken out by falling into a trap - damned 1 on the initiative roll!

Rarpug the crazy enchanter apprentice takes down the summoner crossbowman (top right corner) with an elemental bolt:

By this point lots of fog has been cast across the middle by my enchanters, due to poor cover enroute to the cast ruins (heroquest boards).

Numerous warband members taken out on both sides in a vicious rearguard battle:

Whilst the Drowned lady, the summoner, takes a shot right down the middle of the board at the Lich Lord, but only wounds him for a three points of damage (she promptly used unbreakable orb to defend against counterattacks:

Rarpug is blasted in the back by the Drowned Lady and taken down:

I guess nobody except you can see images. I can guess what you did wrong.

1) You get into your photo album at google - click show image - then copy link.

It worked well with Picasa albums and old photos but won't any more. What you should to do:

2a) Use imgur.com if you are lazy or have tons of images.
2b) If you want to use google photos images go step by step:

- Open your image
- Click SHARE button (top right corner - 3 dots and 2 lines)
- Click "GET LINK" (grey button).
- Now copy link and paste it in new tab or window
- In this new tab once again click onto your image and then use right click menu and copy true link.

ps. It's not bad idea to check from time to time on diffrent browser without logged onto google account if images are correctly linked ;)
ps2. You can see how this topic looks like for rest of us:

Yes, after the amount of effort you clearly took to take all those pictures, it's a shame that we can't see them!
