Any chance you can let me know if you do do a limited run? I'd be first in the queue! I've been really struggling with civie stuff for my project and theses would be perfect!

Do you know how big you want these?  I can price a master print and see what's doable.  Of course if would be easier if more LAF folks wanted one as well.

I did some altering on the model.  So turrets removed, and added Vtol style venting. Still need to move some parts around a bit, but this communicates the general idea.

So on Shapeways, the polished plastic is about $36 for that size.   For a high res master, it's about $165.

To cast it, I'd need to sell about 20 models at approx $20 each to cover molds and the master.  But the resin shop has a minimum order of about 30 kits.

Anyone else need a large ship    Works as a small 28mm fighter?  I guess any of these could be made at 28mm if there was a need for space craft at that scale.

More Drop Ship.

As to the latest suggestions, feedback is welcome.  These are all just kit bashes of parts and shapes right now.  Some of the pieces are high res, some are low res, some have weird angles as they have not been trimmed yet. In a final process before printing, I merge the mesh and stamp details in.  Like is the latest drop ship images:

might be worth mentioning zbrush costs near $800 US for a single user license, That is on top of the cost of a wacom you need for it.

Someone already mentioned Sculptris, but there's also ZbrushCore for $150 shop link

I bought zbrush back about version 2 when it was a lot less than the current price. Every upgrade since then has been free I still can't do anything useful with it, but every six months or so I decide to spend time with it. About a week later I drift off to something else

Anyway, really nice ships. A long term (but never realised) plan is to make a 1:300 spaceport with ships. Some of these would fit in quite nicely, so depending on the size and cost I could be seriously tempted.

Cost:  wel/, once these are metal, probably not more than a single 28mm figure.

As for Zbrush...I mentioned I'm using a MacBook air.  And to be honest...the Drop ship is seriously taxing it   

If the ships prove popular, then I'll get a better system..and go all in on Zbrush to sculpt 28mm figures.

Masters back.  I've upped the contrast on the image since the prints are transparent and I have also enlarged some of the images as I think I printed them too small.  This will more or less be the size of all the ships once i reprint all the masters.  Consider this wave 1  



The drop ship may be resin, still need to see about that.
