You can use clear adhesive sheet (don't know the name in english, "laminated", I think?), and make the rulebooks covers sturdier. It's what I did and no problem so far. I also laminated the reference sheets.
Ah, a retro-Blue Peter moment, memories of "Sticky back plastic'".

Copy shops often offer lamination services (and home laminators are available).

I put mine in an A4 display book.

Used to but it has gone really quiet as the grave.  I check it every so often but been no posts for ages.

In the past I have used the Frothers Arse rules which are just great

{cough} {splutter}{cough} not Frothers rules....just mine, although I didn't run a Frothers participation at salute using them.

I'm glad you like the rules - I'm actually thinking about a new edition of them, which will be free, just like the original set.
