Victorian Engineer
« on: 14 February 2017, 06:48:17 PM »
Chief Engineer Coombes from Artizan Designs Red Planet line. This fig was a treat to paint, lots of character not  too many fiddly bits. I got adventurous and painted stripes on his overalls and hat. He's standing next to one of the first VSF vehicles I put together back in the early 1990s. (When Space 1889 was new and so was I.) It's a WH40k Orc battle wagon. Hard to believe now but at one time Steampunk conveyances were quite rare and one had to improvise. The battle wagon was recently uncovered while going through an ancient bits box. I had to reglue it but it has my original paint job.

Wow Nice Job,

I like the sculpt and the paint job does it well.

Oddly I had the same orc vehicle, it was a fun kit.

Ahh, Space 1889.  It's lovely to see a conversion from the old days.  That's a tidy little engineer too - they go well together.
