lol  I've been thinking over the last month when this thread would start   lol

I plan on being there, volcanoes willing.  Flights are booked, shopping list is (partially) written, some pre-orders are in.

Looking forward to meeting up with old friends.

Can't wait.

I remember over on Frothers it would be the day after Salute and people would be planning their games for the next year. Bloody lunatics.  lol

The planning for the next game actually started in the pub the evening of Salute after we'd all finished packing up.... I'm still waiting for AEG to build a space station that rotated on a lazy susan  .... but I seem to have built one myself ....

 ;D

Given this conversation started over a few drinks, I seem to recall another suggestion was for said space station to be mounted on a rotisserie, just so it could be called Kebabylon 5....

 :D

Yep, WW1 Subbuteo (still my favourite Salute game) started as a very drunken conversation between me and Duff in the pub.... still took 2 years to put on  ;D

In general terms, it is never too early to start thinking about pre-ordering, especially on the big resin Ainsty  items (which are cast to order) and on the 'show stocked' lines such as Artizan, Crusader, Copplestone, Pulp and Footsore as we'll have limited space this year. Also, because of (a) the aforementioned limited space and (b) the Beast themselves will be there we won't be taking Gripping Beast with us.

Drop Andy a line through the Ainsty website with any pre-orders

Funnily enough I think it's the end of show beers that I miss the most...the actual day always ends being bloody hard work, running a game.

They've gone too now mate - just too ****ing expensive to stay over. We're doing there, set up, trade, pack up, go home in a (very long) day.

Salute starts usually on the 2nd of January and finishes the night before the official start date.
The week after is a blessed relief  :D

I'll hopefully be there on the Freebooter demo table.  I may even get to say hello to people this year, if I'm lucky.

It's perfectly doable....in fact, judging by the cost of food at excel, we could even make a profit on the game...

 lol
