Reaper Mimic "The Luggage"
« on: 20 February 2017, 05:23:09 PM »
I had actually bought this miniature several years ago after reading Terry Pratchett's The Colour of Magic, which features a sentient chest known as "The Luggage". (If you haven't read the book, it's quite good). In pursuit of something quick and fun to paint to enter in this year's Crystal Brush, I pulled it out and painted it in between doing other projects for Adepticon.

Nice.  I've painted that one several times myself, as well as the old Ral Partha chest, bed, and bookshelf mimics.

There's a licensed Discworld Luggage figs from Microart, complete with teeny tiny feet.  Rather steeply priced though, especially compared to the Reaper Bones model.

They both look great. I played the Discworld computer game long ago and instead of the usual "hyperspace arsenal" inventory other adventure games have, here you are followed by the Luggage all the time and click on it to access your stuff :)

The Luggage was probably my favorite character in the early Discworld novels.

I love your Reaper mimic!

Very nice1 The addition of some slimy saliva is a good idea!
