Diary of a Subaltern in the Sudan #2
« on: February 26, 2017, 05:04:45 PM »
Several of you read the first diary entry. Now read the shocking second.

Our subaltern and his friend Freddy Grandmaison's report of Dervish activity resolved General Shearing to take a portion of the garrison south to remove the enemy south of Akasha. The following is the story the Advance Guard posted on the Right Flank of the Imperial battle line wherein our duo served two days later.

Several of you enjoyed the terrain and eye-appealing 54mm miniatures. Now see the battle and some very shocking moments. It is told by briefly captioned photos and some narrative starting in the curious ancient ruins and oasis.

I hope you enjoy your vicarious time in the story.

Respectfully,
Bill P.

Superb story, as always. Those sailors look great, fine looking set up.   :-*

Lord Snapcase and Sunjester,
I'm gratified you like the story and photos. One of the things about 54mm miniatures is how their individuality comes out in photos. Facial expressions, varied poses, action, uniforms, etc. One gets right in there close and personal with them in scenes.

The close action battle scene in the bush with smoke lends itself particularly this way as the Armies in Plastic Hadendowah tribesmen melee the sailors. Later when the Subaltern and Freddy Grandmaison are given desperate new orders with temporary disobedience is another.

Thank you for taking the time to write and take a look. I appreciate it.

Respectfully,
Bill P.
