Breaking Lances: Dundracon Tournament Report
« on: 26 February 2017, 07:26:31 PM »
This past Saturday I ran a 10 person tournament using my somewhat soon to be published Breaking Lances rules at Dundracon game convention. It was well attended with over 18 players signing up! This is a real coup, as DDC is mostly a role playing and board game con, with lots of LARPing going on around and in between. I ended up doing a second pick up tournament on the following day, with 12 players.

This looks like a fun and fast game (bases solely on the pics). Are the figures used made of wood and where are they from? Can any "knight" type figure be used?

Davout- The game does run very quicky, with great outcomes. As to the models, I design and lasercut them using 3mm birch plywood, so when glued together (12mm thick) are quite strong.  I'll have them up for sale on my store along with the whole game (rules, jousting run, game boards, etc) very soon.  I've added an image of two knight models unpainted.

In terms of any knight being used- totally! You just have to scale the jousting run to accomodate the scale you are using.

Cheers
