Well a Good day to all,
After cruising every now and then I have decided to join because of my interest in Pulp Gaming at the moment (well the clubs interest) and my interest in Colonial gaming and you all seem to be a nice bunch of chaps and I recognise a number of tags from TMP.
I live in the city of Goulburn Australia's first inland city, which has the largest HM prison in Australia and the NSW Police acedemy, lots of colonial and early nineteeth century buildings in this leafy city, a handy one hour from Canberra (our nations capital) and 2 hr drive from Sydney city.
I sell construction equipment so I am regulary on the road (3-4000klms a week sometimes) so you will regulary see bursts of activity and then none from time to time, I am married and have three kids, I coach (junnior) and follow Rugby Union (go the "Brumbies"), play the Bass drum in the Goulburn Pipes and Drums, love gold panning and sapphire mining, fishing, hunting and camping also.
with my horses

I have been wargaming since I was about ten and over the last thirty years been involved and have armies for most periods primarily in 28mm. I am the current President of the Goulburn Wargames Club, who basically meet once a month to help each other with our lead addictions, and encourage capitalism in the miniature feild. (see my website for a samll selection of my armies)
http://www.displacedminiatures.com/Bluewillow/galleries/I love well done terrain and nicely painted figures and I am still not happy really with my brush work ability, I like to scratch build buildings and terrain.
I play a lot of different periods but my main intrests are Napoleonics, FIW, AWI, ACW, Medieval, Ancients, Colonial and WW2 (20mm). I also have smatterings of WW1, Renassiance and Fantasy stuff.
I can never seem to paint one period at a time ( I am in awe of people who have only one period) and quite regulary have four to five periods on my painting table at once to stave off boredom and to keep the creative juices flowing
I hope to add a few projects to the Pulp scene in the coming weeks as we are doing a club campaign in the coming months and most of us are busy on projects at the moment.
My new years resolution was to purchase
NO NEW ARMIES this year, so far it has worked, so I will try to "stay the course" and reduce my lead pile!
Cheers
Matt
