Mojo has been warning of late, but to celebrate the near completion of my new conservatory /office / games room, and because a few of the other chaps have started to look at BOHICA, I have decided that I have enough scenery for now and it’s time to kick start the gathering if forces properly.

Rules book ordered, and I will make a start painting up these fellas.

Is it a trick of the light, or have you painted
the bases in different colours?

Not really painted at all….I had some first pass brown on half of them though…the others are just primed black!   To be fair Pete, I wasn’t expecting critique of my painting of them thus far! Lol.

I was just wondering if it was some new technique,
like undercoating horses different colours, then
giving them all a brown wash.

Nice to see you are not rushing along with this project - terrain for five years, figures for five years, five years to digest the rules - and, why, heck, you will be gaming in no time (from a wheelchair maybe?!  :o ;) lol

I actually came by to book mark because I am going to give the twisted wire trees a go in the near future - like before the end of the year.

Hmm…I deserve that.

Still, like most of my projects….the time has come round again to do bit more.   Having just made a river, I thought I’d dust off a few unpainted river craft.

Just ordered some tyres to add fenders to a couple of these, and some acorn cups so I can make some produce baskets.  Also ordered a few printed civvies including two holding punt poles so I will be finishing these three boats and adding bling to one of the painted boats.

Truth be told - I have yet to get to those trees!  :o. Unless you count cheating and getting 3D printed trees.  ;)

Have you checked into Bauda for what they offer for detailing?  Not sure what they offer in 28mm but their 15 mm offerings are astounding.  Here is a link: https://www.baueda.com/logistics.html. Scroll down the page to see the 28 mm offerings.

If you do buy the Bauda, STRONGLY recommend getting a X-Acto #18 chisel blade for removing from the connecting bar - and be careful.  But well worth the effort in my opinion.
