Scottish Corridor with Chain of Command (Pic Heavy)
« on: 14 March 2017, 07:54:26 PM »
Hi Chaps,
Played the first game in the Lardies Scottish Corridor campaign supplement for Chain of Command. This is the action at Le Valtru with the 7th Seaforth Highlanders. The British won the game. The Germans fought very hard but chose to withdraw when casualties started to mount. Always good to try and save as many troops as possible in a campaign. They have a long way to go. I won't describe everything that happened but the British got the upper hand after the Germans (Me) had some dreadful dice rolling. Once the British appeared on the flanks i chose to withdraw.
The British during the patrol phase managed to squeeze the Germans into one half of the table. Their three jump off markers were almost together not allowing good deployment options.

The British jump off points are the three garden sheds... Mid, upper left and mid top.

The German jump off points stuck on the table edge. The truck is one of them. The two large fields are classed as wheat fields.

After a killing blow with the panzerschreck on the Churchill the Grenadiers move into the main street.

Just a couple of nice piccies

Cheers

Brilliant paintjobs on those figures and cracking set up. Any chance of a rundown on your terrain and buildings please?  :)

Many Thanks.

All structures except one were made by me. This picture should help ;)

If you've never tried it, I highly recommend 10mm styrofoam board. I use the flat end of a chopstick to push shapes into the surface where the rendering has fallen off. Then create the brickwork with a pen.
