Nice paint jobs and a nice color scheme, but the precisionist in me says those light cruisers are Dauntless-class (the torpedo variant) not Lunars, which are full-sized cruisers built off the plastic kits.

Nice work, and I especially like the little bits of storyline added to the vessels. That kind of thing turns them from a nicely painted model into a nicely painted characterful vessel with its own story to tell. Looking forward to seeing more.

Please keep this thread  ;)

Well, they are.  If the stereotyped historicals player can grouse about sculptors getting the buttons on a uniform wrong, surely a diehard BFG fan like myself can point out which ship class is which.  :)

There's something really special about a well-painted and consistent spaceship fleet.  I think it's something special about spaceships that no other miniatures have and just gives you that sense of exploring that great unknown in a vessel the size of a small city.

I like these a lot, have a huge soft spot for BFG (up there in my favorite things GW spawned - then ignored, like Titanicus, Epic etc...).

Nicely painted, you don't see yellow accents like that often.

I wanted to try something different and thought it looked good.
And I wanted to use zero metallic paints and limit my pallete. These only use Foundry Storm Green, slate grey and lemon. Except the running lights and white

Certainly came out well in this case.  I find a very limited palette works well on high-detail starship figs (eg BFG and Dropfleet models) especially when combined with ink washes and a few sharply contrasting details.

Nice seeing a few "old" Imperial vessels still in service... Do you count it as a Grand Cruiser of some sort?
