Ya, I'll third fred's point. Washes and drybrushes take you pretty far in this scale. Basing too, once you base things it really creates a cohesive look.

Yep, every time I see this thread I want to play epic. Then I realize it'd be a large undertaking and nobody around here plays. Shame.

Well I could run a game for you if you want to try it some time. There just isn't a lot of interest in 6mm so I haven't pushed it. I figure when ever Adeptus Titanicus is released there will be more interest in Epic.

I finished these nearly three weeks ago now, but a lost memory card and card reader kept them from being posted. I stuck with bone colors for the wrathbone and warm greys for the rocks. The windows and globe looking things were a CdA violet color that I had never tried out.

I'd also like to complete some Falcons for the upcoming NEAT, I still need to convert turrets so I just started on the bodies.

I worked on Rangers too, painting orange on these is a real pain. I think for the Guardians I'm going to have to airbrush the orange and carefully drybrush the bases.

I took one stand nearly to completion, the weapons and cloaks need to be finished still.

Thanks guys.

A quick update, I got the orange done on the Rangers. Hoping to tackle the helmets and weapons next week.

Great looking models, I always loved the rangers figures, and the objectives are a really nice contrast to the quite vibrant vehicles.

Thanks Grumble.

The Rangers have been done for awhile, I needed to buy some Dullcote though before I could put the grass tufts on. Finally got around to that so here they are.

Not sure what's next, I'm been re-basing and touching up of my Orlocks, a Man O'War Orc fleet, re-basing and basecoating Squats, or painting some Robots for half-scale TiRoBEx on my workbench right now.

Those Scouts are just fantastic! The basing really completes the look so well.

The buildings are fan sculpts and casts. The rocks are from woodland scenics molds.

Those rangers are really rather nice. Especially the rear view, where their cloaks blend with the bases, they almost look like they are floating.

Nice job of the rangers. While I like all the vehicles, the infantry are what make epic scale for me.

Thanks guys.

Things have been quiet as I've been working on a Shadespire warband for a FLGS. They're almost done, I'll hopefully have pics next week. I've also been working on re-basing and (in a Epic related note at least) finishing up some odds and ends for my Squats. This guy is one of those, a Steel Hawk from the article in Citadel Journal 14.

I'm still thinking on the War Hawk and Land Train cars also in the article. Any thoughts for a Squat looking Void Shield generator?

Nice conversion. Especially on something so small.
