Great figures and buildings.

They are really 28mm? ^__^

Given that she has the communicator/hand computer, she could be the intelligence specialist, mission coordinator, or commo.
Demolitions Expert!
Kaboooom!

Thanks for the input!

My own thoughts has mostly been circling around drone controller, mechanic, pilot or mission coordinator. I did really like the idea of her being a demolitions expert, though!

Great figures and buildings.

Thanks, mate!

Ha, wouldn't want them in 28mm, each building taking up roughly eight times the volume of what they do now.
I love 15mm, it strikes the perfect balance between size and detail. One can still make epic projects, but they are more manageable (and reasonly price) than 28mm, while having individual detail compared to 10mm or 6mm (even if 6mm sometimes beckons to me, being able to construct cities instead of blocks...)

Thanks, friend!

My lead mountain reduction is a slow process, but at least I'm not adding (too much) to it!

That’s a great looking group matey - you’ve gone a really nice recipe for yellow there. Is the building they’re in front of new? I don’t remember seeing it beige - it looks really good, like a bunker almost. Glad you’re posting lots of painted bits again :)

Hey, thanks! I'm glad to be posting, I still have a couple of painted minis that I haven't photographed or written stories for, so there might be more coming soon...

I guess I've stated my colour recipe before but: Vallejo Heavy Goldbrown, wash with Reikland Fleshshade, highlight with original colour, then with some Vallejo Golden Yellow added, then with some white added to that. Or something like that, I'm not really sure.

I posted the buildings last summer, they were my first buildings constructed without prior inspiration (i.e. idea theft) from anybody else. The buildings can be found here: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=99646.msg1382148#msg1382148

Well, I'm trying to keep myself from spending money, but soon I will have to splurge on Jagannath's Blades & Blasters line...

Haha
I like that.... one of the reasons I paint in batches until I finish all the troop types because I also forget what shade or wash I used  ;).
Especially since I mix a lot of washes & therefore with no name ( must number the bottles & start to write down what I used ) , most probably I'll forget to do that also during painting sprees....
Love the write ups. :D
Keep it up

I would probably be more concerned if I were painting an army or regular troops. Since most of my crews consist of 4-8 minis and my choices of colours are mostly to keep the crews fairly easy to pick out on the battlefield, I'm not that invested in perfect colour unity.

Still, I paint a lot faster while batch painting, so I've started doing that recently. I painted Steiner and Krüger as tests for my GZG Islamic Federation colour scheme, but then I thought it would be cool with a new crew. The last three miniatures of the crew were batch painted and that took about the same time as painting one miniature alone.

Love the write ups. :D
Keep it up

Thanks, Z!

Glad to hear that the write-ups are appreciated!

Finally bought the orange colour for my delivery crew. Vallejo Model Color Clear Orange, the perfect Televerket orange.
Televerket was the Swedish department of telecommunications. Anyone familiar with Simon Stĺlenhag's Tales from the Loop should know that Riksenergi (the company/department responsible for the Loop) is based on Televerket, both symbol and colour choices.

Now, I've just got to get some time to paint...

I’m still working on some buildings accessories you might like - I’ve been quite busy recently with real life so B&B a touch neglected, and I’m experimenting with what 6mm items I can print for the shop.

Thanks for linking to those earlier posts - is forgotten. I really like those pics with the buildings and trees. Makes me regret doing everything super desert!

I hope that real life is kind to you. I know, sometimes one doesn't have time for the hobby.

With that said: You know I would love some building accessories, relatively thin pieces easy to glue on scratchbuilds. My wishlist:

1. Doors - almost every door on my build came from the same GZG pack. The sci-fi future needs a couple of more kinds of doors.

2. Data consoles and keypads - nothing sci-fies up a scratchbuild more than some high-tech add-ons.

3. Fans - can have dual use, both as ventilation units on buildings, and as engines on spacecraft.

Thanks for linking to those earlier posts - is forgotten. I really like those pics with the buildings and trees. Makes me regret doing everything super desert!

The idea for those builds were to create baseless buildings that would fit on any kind of terrain. If I were to create some new tables (I'm often tempted to build a winter or desert table), I would already have some terrain that fit.

That's a thing I like with both the Ion Age's and Brigade's terrain: they are often left without basing, which makes it easier to use with multiple boards.

Ah great - that’s exactly what I’m working on.

I know exactly what you mean about not basing buildings - I just find I prefer the way they look so much more. I’m a bit over the top about basing - I take it far too seriously in getting everything consistent.

Second the request for sci fi doors and consoles and keypads.  :)
I don\'t know whether to be a good example or a horrible warning.
