Thanks guys! :) You keep me motivated to paint!

They are looking really nice! I hope we see more, sonn ;)

What colors are you using for the yellow coat-of-arms? I find it really hard to find a good yellow ...

The yellow is my 'lazy yellow mix' haha. Basecoat P3 Rucksack Tan, wash with GW Agrax Earthshade, highlight with progressive mixes of Rucksack Tan, Reaper Golden Yellow and VGC Bonewhite.
I paint a fair bit of yellow, and Rucksack Tan is almost always my go to base colour, it's a nice muted yellow.

Ooohh they're great! I like how you have given them all kinda the same helmet; I've always imagined the Westerosi troops kinda uniform!

I'm looking forward to see some more from you :)

Same as what i was thinking! I tried to do that as well with my Mormonts, but yours look more in uniform! Great job!

Thanks guys :) Looking at the shots of troops from the show, the most obvious difference between houses, other than heraldry, is the helmets. So I've tried to represent that with my troops. I'm working on assembling some Vale troops now and they all use a different helmet again.

Been a week or so, but here's the next unit finished. Some Baratheon knights, to put some backbone into all those scummy peasants. They're a bit colourful for the TV vision of Westeros, so I perhaps went overboard with the heraldry, but the models were wearing houpelands so it seemed appropriate. The houses represented are: House Hasty (perhaps Ser Bonifer himself), House Buckler (who's also contributing the earlier crossbows), House Wylde, House Musgood, House Gower and House Wagstaff.
These were a lot of fun to paint, I spent much longer on each mini compared to the regular troops, probably about 1-1.5 hours per, as opposed to half that on the previous guys, and it shows  hopefully. The heraldry was a real pain, but I challenged myself to keep working on my freehand skills.

Anyway, hopefully you guys like them.

I think your "colourful" take is spot on. HBO's version always seemed a little drab to me. I'm really impressed with the heraldry. Great work!

I feel like the Europeans on LAF need to create a small gaming convention for GoT/ASOIAF...meet up some weekend and run massive games (according to whatever rule set people choose).  It'd be stellar to see all these projects in one place.

That would be amazing, however since I'm from Down Under, I probably wouldn't make it.
